Advanced Rehabilitation Engineering in Diagnostic and Monitoring (AREDiM)

Advanced Rehabilitation Engineering in Diagnostics and Monitoring (AREDiM), was established in September 2018 to spearhead research and consultancy in Intelligent Diagnostic Engineering for Rehabilitation Intervention that related to Advanced Rehabilitation Engineering and Medical Rehabilitation. The focus is on studying assistive technology in rehabilitation, diagnostics and monitoring via development of rehabilitation devices, sensory systems, control techniques, movement analysis and medical image processing. Techniques of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning were also integrated in the focus areas.

Expertise:

  • Provide diagnostic information to foster the effectiveness of rehabilitation management
  • Provide alternative solutions to medical rehabilitation activities

Application:

  • Advanced Rehabilitation Activities
  • Advanced Medical Rehabilitation

Advanced Control Systems and Computing Research Group (ACSCRG)

The Advanced Control Systems and Computing Research Group (ACSCRG) is a research group focused on advancing methods and technologies related to control systems, systems engineering, automation, and computational techniques.

Control systems involve the use of mathematical models and algorithms to regulate the behavior of dynamic systems. An “advanced” control system typically goes beyond traditional techniques, such as PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) control, and explores more complex, adaptive, and robust methods.

Our research group covers all the topics related to control systems and computing but not limited to:

1. Advanced Control Systems

2. Computational Methods in Control

3. Autonomous Systems

4. Smart and Cyber-Physical Systems

5. System Identification and Modeling
